FAQ Center
Is a significant decrease in battery capacity a malfunction?
As the battery ages, its capacity gradually decreases, which is a normal chemical degradation process; however, if the capacity declines unusually fast or falls significantly below the rated capacity in a short time, this may indicate cell damage or a management system fault. It is recommended to contact the after-sales service promptly for inspection and maintenance.
Will damage to the battery casing affect safety?
If the battery casing is cracked or damaged, it may compromise the safety of the internal cells, increasing the risk of short circuits, leakage, or fire; therefore, it is recommended to stop using the battery immediately upon discovering casing damage and contact after-sales service for professional replacement or repair, and never continue using a damaged device.
What should I do if the device is overheating?
Storage systems generate some heat during operation, but if the device becomes excessively hot, it may be caused by overload, poor ventilation, or internal faults; it is recommended to first reduce the load, ensure proper ventilation, and if the temperature remains high, immediately stop using the device and contact after-sales service for inspection and repair.
Will partial damage or cracking of a photovoltaic panel affect the entire energy storage system?
If a photovoltaic panel has cracks or partial damage, it may reduce power generation, and the inverter may trigger protection mechanisms due to abnormal input voltage, temporarily affecting the normal operation of the storage system; therefore, it is recommended to replace or repair the damaged components promptly to ensure safety and system stability.
Is it normal for battery charging or discharging efficiency to decrease in low-temperature environments?
In low-temperature environments, the chemical reaction rate within the storage battery decreases, so a reduction in charging and discharging efficiency is normal. If the battery efficiency drops significantly, you should contact after-sales service for more in-depth testing.
What should I do if the battery SOC displayed is abnormal?
If the battery shows an abnormal state of charge (SOC) during charging or discharging, such as inaccurate readings or large fluctuations, this may be due to a lack of calibration over time or aging of the battery cells; in such cases, we recommend performing three complete charging and discharging cycle to recalibrate the display, and if the issue persists, don't hesitate to get in touch with after-sales service for further testing.
Why did the inverter suddenly stop working?
An inverter that suddenly stops working is usually caused by overload, overheating, or abnormal input voltage; therefore, you should check whether the connected load exceeds the rated capacity of the inverter, ensure that the cooling environment is adequate, and verify that the power supply voltage is stable. If the issue persists after these checks, professional after-sales diagnosis is required.
The device makes unusual noises or vibrates during operation. Is this normal?
During normal operation, the device may produce slight noise from the cooling fan or minor vibrations. Still, if you notice unusual sounds — such as metallic friction or strong vibrations — it may indicate that internal components are loose or damaged. In such a case, you should stop using the device immediately and contact after-sales support for inspection.
Why is the battery charging speed noticeably slower?
A noticeable decrease in charging speed is usually caused by insufficient input power or excessive ambient temperature; therefore, we recommend that you first check the angle and shading conditions of the solar panels, then confirm whether the AC power output is stable, and keep in mind that operating under very low or very high temperatures can also affect charging efficiency. At the same time, long-term abnormal performance should be reported to after-sales service for a battery health check.
What should I do if the battery fails to start or does not respond?
If the battery cannot start or shows no response after being connected to the power source, you should first verify whether the power supply and the solar panel connections are working properly, then check whether the battery power button has been switched on correctly, and finally try to reboot the system once you have confirmed that the voltage input is normal; if there is still no response, please get in touch with after-sales support for further inspection.
How do I configure the zero feedback/power limit function? Where can I do this (app/device/web)? Please specify the configuration path and parameters (such as direction, calibration, threshold, etc.).
Both zero-feed and power limit functions must be enabled in the SUNPURA app.
The SUNPURA app offers four modes for users to choose from:
Self-generation and self-consumption, AI Smart Control Mode, Custom Mode, and Smart Socket Mode.
Zero-feed:
Zero-feed can be selected independently in both Self-generation and AI Smart Control modes.
Zero-feed enabled: Power generated by the device's solar panels is first supplied to home appliances; any remaining power is stored in the battery pack. If both the first two conditions are met, solar power generation is limited, and no power is fed into the grid.
Zero-feed disabled: Power generated by the device's solar panels is first supplied to home appliances; any remaining power is stored in the battery pack. If the battery is fully charged and still has power remaining, it may be fed into the grid.
Power Limit:
Power limit can be set independently in both AI Smart Control and Custom Mode.
In AI Smart Control mode, users can customize the meter's maximum charge and discharge power. The SUNPURA app automatically monitors the total power of all loads through the smart meter. For example, if the meter's maximum charge and discharge power is set to 5.5kW, the device will automatically stop charging if the total control of all loads exceeds 5.5kW.
In custom mode, users can set their own plans, which can limit the time and power of charging or feeding.
How do I reset the connection between the app and the energy storage system?
To reset the connection between the app and the storage system, you generally need to select “Unbind Device” or “Factory Reset” within the app, then restart the device and reconnect according to the pairing procedure, ensuring that the phone and device are in the same network environment for successful connection.
The APP frequently pushes alarm messages, but the system is normal. Is this normal?
If the app frequently pushes alarm notifications while the storage system operates normally, this may be due to sensor false alarms, communication delays, or overly sensitive app settings; it is recommended to check the alarm threshold settings in the app, verify the device operation status, and try updating the firmware and app to reduce false alarms.
The app shows as offline, but the device is working normally. Why?
Suppose the app shows the device as offline while the storage system is actually operating normally. In that case, this may be due to an unstable Wi-Fi signal, a router blocking communication ports, or a delay in app-device synchronization. In such cases, try restarting the app or the router, and, if necessary, update the firmware to restore consistency between the app display and the device status.
APP data refresh is very slow or not updated. How to solve it?
If the app’s data refreshes slowly or does not update, it may be caused by network latency, unstable communication between the battery and the device, or an outdated app version. It is recommended to check the Wi-Fi signal quality, ensure the device is online, and update the app to the latest version. If the problem persists, try restarting the app or the device to restore normal data refresh.
What should I do if the app cannot connect to the energy storage system?
If the app cannot connect to the storage system, first ensure that your phone and the device are on the same 2,4 GHz Wi-Fi network with a stable signal; then check whether the device is properly powered and in standby mode. If the problem persists, try restarting the router or reinstalling the app. If connection issues continue, contact after-sales technical support to check the communication module or perform remote diagnostics.

What is the minimum number of photovoltaic panels that can be connected to a device? What is the maximum number of photovoltaic panels that can be linked? What are the power and voltage requirements for each photovoltaic panel?
The S2400 has two MPPT inputs (two PV inputs), each with a voltage range of 10-100V. Connecting a standard PV module (e.g., 450Wp (peak power)) will ensure normal operation. The maximum number of PV panels that can be linked should be determined by consulting the PV panel data sheet (maximum open-circuit voltage). Ensure that the total open-circuit voltage of the PV panels, whether connected in series or parallel, does not exceed 100V.
What are the consequences if the PV panels connected to the device exceed the maximum voltage or current?
If the PV panel is connected to the device at a voltage exceeding the device's maximum, the device will be damaged. If the current exceeds the device's maximum current rating, the device will not be damaged, but it will limit the current from the PV panel. Therefore, when connecting a PV panel, it is important to refer to the panel's maximum output voltage.
Can the photovoltaic panels connected to the device be connected in parallel (using Y-type terminals) or in series?
The devices can be connected in series or in parallel. Still, the open-circuit voltage must not exceed 100 V after series connection (please refer to the photovoltaic panel's parameter manual for confirmation).
Can the energy storage system continue to provide power during a power outage?
The Sunpura energy storage system has an off-grid emergency power supply function. Turn on the off-grid switch on the App (the system is turned on by default). When the grid is out, it can automatically switch to battery power and continue supplying critical loads to meet basic household electricity needs. However, the specific power supply capacity and duration depend on the battery capacity and load power, etc.
How to improve the system’s self-generation and self-use rate?
To increase the self-consumption rate, users can schedule high-energy appliances to operate during daytime or after the storage is fully charged, optimize storage capacity and charge/discharge strategy, and regularly analyze electricity usage patterns through the app to maximize direct use of self-generated electricity.
What factors affect the energy-saving effect of energy storage systems?
The energy-saving effect of a storage system is influenced by multiple factors, including battery capacity, solar panel efficiency, household electricity consumption patterns, charge/discharge strategy, and ambient temperature; therefore, when evaluating energy savings, these factors should be considered comprehensively to obtain a more accurate economic analysis.
Does energy storage have an impact on new energy subsidies?
The storage system does not directly affect renewable energy subsidies, but proper use can increase self-consumption of solar power, indirectly optimizing subsidy benefits; for example, some regions provide electricity discounts based on self-consumption, so using a storage system can help users achieve greater economic benefits.
How does the energy storage system work when solar power generation is insufficient?
When solar power generation is insufficient, the storage system prioritizes using the electricity already stored in the battery for household consumption, while supplementing the deficit from the grid to ensure an uninterrupted power supply. The system management software intelligently schedules energy sources to maximize energy savings and economic efficiency.
Can using multiple energy storage devices in parallel improve energy saving?
Using multiple storage devices in parallel can increase total storage capacity and peak discharge capability, thereby providing more self-generated or stored electricity during peak consumption or consecutive cloudy days, theoretically improving energy savings; however, proper system configuration and coordination between devices are necessary, otherwise efficiency may decrease or load conflicts may occur.
Can energy storage systems reduce electricity costs at night?
The storage system can be charged during the day and used at night during peak electricity periods to reduce purchasing high-cost electricity from the grid, thereby lowering nighttime electricity costs; however, the actual effect depends on price differences, storage capacity, and nighttime electricity demand.
How much solar power can be stored in batteries?
The amount of solar energy that a battery can store depends on the number of battery packs installed. For example, a B2400 battery has a capacity of 2.4 kWh, so it can theoretically store up to 2.4 kilowatt-hours of electricity. But actual storage may be affected by charge/discharge efficiency, ambient temperature, solar panel output, and system management strategies.
How to evaluate the energy-saving effect of the system?
Energy savings can be evaluated by recording daily or monthly grid electricity consumption changes, battery charge and discharge amounts, and solar power generation, while also considering electricity bills to quantify the actual reduction in overall household energy consumption and electricity costs provided by the storage system.
Can a balcony energy storage system significantly reduce electricity bills?
Balcony storage systems can, through [Intelligent Control Mode], reduce household electricity costs by storing electricity during low-price periods, discharging during high-price periods, or directly using solar power to reduce grid dependency. The actual savings depend on system capacity, usage patterns, local electricity prices, and solar panel efficiency, and it is recommended to evaluate based on real usage conditions.
